Nyne has released three new portable Bluetooth speakers, the Rock, Rebel, and Edge, all of which the company promises are both large and loud, and ideal for outdoor use via IPX water-resistant ratings.
The Rock is a throwback to the ‘80s boombox, and boasts 65-watts of power, and five speakers: two midrange speakers, two tweeters, and a subwoofer. It comes with a built-in carry handle, NFC for wireless, one-touch pairing with compatible devices, and an integrated microphone for hands-free calling. Additionally, it enables phone charging while on the go through its built-in powerbank. You can connect a few Rock speakers together using the extra auxiliary port.
More compact, the Rebel features a 2.1 speaker system with 40-watts of output power, and is designed for use both indoors and out. It boasts an IPX3 rating for water-resistance. Like its Rock sister, this model has a built-in hidden carry handle. It offers up to 10 hours of continuous playtime per charge.
Deemed the “three-in-one road warrior,” the Edge is designed specifically for cyclists. It comes housed in a double injection rubber housing and is IPX5-rated for water protection. You can clamp it onto your bicycle handlebar, and connect your device via Bluetooth or NFC. It offers up to 15 hours of battery life: more than enough to last for your entire ride.
“NYNE is excited to expand its X-Series for outdoor adventures with the Rock, Rebel and Edge speakers,” says Arman Arami, president of NYNE. “Since the beginning, NYNE’s philosophy has been to design and develop products by listening to our customer’s and the market’s needs.”
